CTI Plus Resources Ltd. submitted an Initial Project Description (IPD) and Engagement Plan (EP) for the Rocky Creek Metallurgical Coal Project to the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office (BC EAO) and the Federal Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC).
The company said the IPD outlines the proposed project’s scope and potential environmental impacts, while its EP details the company’s commitment to engaging with Indigenous Nations, communities and stakeholders throughout the assessment process. This submission and acceptance marks a significant milestone in our commitment to transparency, collaboration, and environmental stewardship, explained Yulin Li, CEO, CTI Plus Resources.
“We are excited to develop this metallurgical coal open pit mine project, which will greatly benefit the economy and create significant high-paying jobs for the local communities,” Li said. “We are also dedicated to ensuring that our project is developed responsibly and sustainably. The acceptance of our IPD and EP by both the BC EAO and IAAC is an important step forward, and we look forward to working closely with Indigenous Nations, local communities and all stakeholders as we move through the regulatory process.”
