Metso launched the HRT-S, a pre-engineered high-rate thickening solution with significantly shorter delivery times. Part of the Planet Positive offering, the solution saves power, cuts carbon, and decreases maintenance costs, Metso said.
The HRT-S comes with Reactorwell technology, the new-generation feedwell with high solids retention and mixing efficiency that eliminates feed short-circuiting. It offers low shear rate for ideal floccule growth, even discharge symmetry, and excellent feed preparation, Metso said.
The unit uses bench-scale and pilot testing to ensure process performance guarantees. It is easy to operate and service, Metso said.
The the modular HRT-S complements Metso’s High-Rate Thickener product family, which consists of the HRT and HRT-S products.
