Illinois Highway 185 southeast of Hillsboro was closed due to the formation of a 50-ft-wide sinkhole near the Deer Run mine, according to WICS Springfield Illinois. The highway connects Hillsboro and Coffeen. Deer Run is a longwall mine operated by Foresight Energy.
