The BMA and the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) are negotiating terms. An official with the CFMEU said nearly 4,000 miners were involved in the “industrial action.” BMA offered a 5% annual wage increase over three years along with a $15,000 a year production bonus. The sticking point, however, revolves around proposed changes to work practices.
