WVOMHST has scheduled a workshop to review and explain the outlines included in the newly passed Title 36, Series 57, formally known as “Rules Governing Proximity Detection Systems and Haulage Safety Generally,” beginning at 9 a.m. on June 26 at the WVU Academy of Mine Training and Energy in Dolls Run.
Vendors will also be present to offer presentations on their products.
The agency already held workshops in late May and early June at the MSHA National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver as well as the Southern West Virginia Community College in Logan.
