GE Helps Modernize Indian Power Plant
In an effort to improve the efficiency and reduce emissions of India’s installed fleet of coal-fired power plants, GE’s Power Services business, working with NGSL (a 50/50 joint venture of NTPC and GE) and Gujarat State Electricity Corp. Ltd., recently announced the results of a steam turbine modernization project at the Ukai power station. The project used GE’s latest modernization solutions, including its Advanced Steam Path (ASP) technology — part of the company’s Fleet 360 portfolio.
